Do You Tip the Guide and Driver?
No. Tipping is not part of the €50, and nothing is collected from the group at any point in the day. No envelope goes round the coach, no figure is announced, no list is read out at the end. The guide's fee is already paid out of the fare you hand over, so nobody on board has a reason to lean on you. Tip if you decide to; skip it and the day ends the same way.
The reason the usual advice fails you here is that it was written for other situations. Restaurants, taxis, hotel housekeeping — those are moments where a bill lands and a percentage suggests itself. A coach excursion has no bill at the end. Yours was fixed before you left the hotel: €50 per person for everyone aged 4 and over, infants 0–3 free, nothing in between. That buys pickup and drop-off, the drive over the Taurus mountains and back, a licensed guide, travel insurance and three meals. We publish no expected sum, and that is deliberate rather than coy. Print a number and it becomes a charge — quoted back at guests, resented by the ones who cannot spare it, treated as a floor by everyone else. The honest position is that a guide who explained Hierapolis instead of reciting it, or who sorted out a family at the ticket windows, has earned something; what that something is, and whether it is money at all, is yours to judge. Your cash does need planning, just not for this. The official entrance ticket is bought at the site windows, drinks are excluded at all three meals, and anything optional inside the gates is paid there. Is a tip included in the €50 Pamukkale tour price?+
It is not. The €50 covers transport, the licensed guide, insurance and three meals — a tip is neither inside that figure nor added to it later. Nothing is invoiced afterwards and nothing is collected on the coach.
How much should I tip the guide and driver?+
We don't publish an amount, on purpose. A suggested figure quickly hardens into an expected one, and this is a day where the guide is already paid by us. Give what feels right to you, or nothing at all — both are normal on our departures.
Will someone come round the coach collecting money?+
No. No envelope is passed, no speech is made near the end of the drive, no names are read out. If you want to give something you do it directly and privately, at a moment of your choosing.
Do I need extra cash on the day for anything else?+
Yes, but not for tips. Bring enough for the official site entrance ticket, bought at the windows on arrival, plus drinks at the three meals and anything optional such as the Cleopatra Antique Pool. Small notes are easier than one large one.
