Once the reservation is in, three things follow. A confirmation e-mail reaches you with a printable ticket and a booking reference. The pickup arrangement for your hotel — the spot you stand in and the time you stand there — is confirmed with that booking rather than published on this site. And nothing is charged to you in the meantime, which is the fact that makes every failure mode below survivable: oversleep, fall ill, stand at the wrong door, and the sum you lose is zero.
What reaches you, and what to do if it doesn't
The confirmation carries your reference, the party you booked for, the date, and the pickup detail. Print it if printing is easy, or keep it on your phone — the guide works from the day's list and the reference is what ties you to it. Save the WhatsApp number to your contacts at the same moment: +90 536 603 75 84. That is a two-second job on the day you book and an enormous relief on a morning when you have overslept.
If nothing has landed within a day or so, the usual culprits are boring ones. Confirmations fall into promotions and spam folders. A single mistyped character in an e-mail address sends it nowhere. Some hotel Wi-Fi logins mangle attachments. Rather than waiting to see, message us with the name the reservation was made under and the date, and we will resend it. One thing the e-mail will not contain is a clock time printed weeks in advance. The route is built from the hotels actually travelling on your date, anywhere between Tekirova and Gazipaşa, which is why the pickup time is confirmed rather than advertised. Read the pickup line carefully anyway: on large resorts it names a specific entrance, and "the lobby" is rarely one place.
Passport or not? Nobody crosses a border
Fair question, and one this site had never answered. On coach excursions elsewhere in Europe the passport genuinely matters, because the day often clips two countries. This one does not. You leave the Mediterranean coast, climb inland over the Taurus mountains into Denizli province, spend the day at Hierapolis-Pamukkale, and come back the same way. Start to finish the route stays inside Türkiye, and there is no passport control anywhere in it.
What we would still carry is photo identification, in the way you would on any full day away from your room — a driving licence, a national ID card, or a photograph of your passport page on your phone. Plenty of guests prefer to leave the physical passport in the hotel safe rather than take it wading and walking, and that is a perfectly sensible choice on a day built around barefoot terraces and dusty ruins. The money and the small kit
The €50 covers the coach, hotel pickup and drop-off, a licensed guide, insurance and three meals — breakfast on the morning drive, lunch near Pamukkale, dinner on the way home. What it deliberately does not cover is every ticket window you will pass. Entry to the site, entry to the Cleopatra Antique Pool if you fancy the swim among the sunken marble, and any museum are official, separately priced and paid at the gate; the site administration sets those rates and changes them seasonally, so we quote none of them here. Drinks are yours too, including with meals. The on-the-day spending page breaks that down honestly.
- Cash in Turkish lira for gates, drinks and anything you buy at the stalls — card acceptance varies from window to window.
- Your ticket or reference, on paper or screen.
- Photo ID, or a copy of it.
- A bag you can carry your shoes in, because the terrace section is walked barefoot — that is a site rule protecting the calcite, not a novelty.
- Swimwear only if the Cleopatra Pool tempts you; the terrace pools are for wading, not swimming.

Overslept, wrong door, or ill: what to actually do
You overslept. Message us the moment you realise, before you get dressed, before you run. A departure collecting from a run of hotels cannot idle at one address without pushing every guest behind it late, so a driver who has moved on has done the right thing by the coach. Whether anything can still be done depends entirely on where the vehicle is at that minute, and only one of us can see that. The message costs you nothing and is the only move that ever helps.
You are at the wrong entrance. Big resorts have a main lobby, a beach gate and a service road, and guests reliably pick the wrong one. Stay where you are, tell us which building or gate you are standing at, and let us route the driver rather than sprinting between doors while he circles the other side. Wandering is what turns a two-minute fix into a missed departure.
You woke up ill. Nothing was prepaid, so there is no sunk money forcing you onto a coach for eleven to fourteen hours with a fever. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure, and if it is the morning itself, tell us anyway — a seat we know about early is a seat we can use. Moving to another date is a calendar question rather than a fee question: the tour runs daily March–November and Monday–Saturday in December–February, so it comes down to what is open in the days you have left.
